I just started a new account on photog.social, I'll start tooting photos there to better differentiate between photos and conversion about everything else. πŸ™‚

#EyesOnNature

Good morning!

How about some boring #moss! But it's backlit by the setting evening sun and I think it looks so...calming.
This was a lucky find while I was strolling through the garden, the moss was growing on some dry earth. It didn't look like much, but the beauty of macro photography is that even the dullest things can look nice through a macro lens.

Have a great day! πŸ™‚

Although it's not the time for #mushrooms, I was excited when I found a large patch of these little ones. They were growing on three piles of silage!

I went there early in the morning to take pictures before the sun could make it impossible with too much contrast. It had the additional benefit of dew covering the mushrooms! Negative: tripod, trousers and shoes covered in silage. Oh well.

And a few hours later, most of them were gone again.

I've never seen a #ladybug lay eggs before, so this was a very welcome subject.
Sadly this was a really tiny one, so even at 1:1 magnification it's still small. Behind it you can see the green/white coloured eggs, sheltered in a crack in the wood.

This photo is a #stack of 3 images, since the little bug didn't move much while doing its deed.

Shortly after it was finished and walked away.

These little fellas are quite active at this time of the year!

Their very loud croaking can be very annoying to some people, but I love the sound and enjoy watching hordes of #frogs occupy ponds and lakes.

This one was nicely aligned with the light from the setting sun reflecting in the water. And just look at the eyes! They have such beautiful colours.

Someone is tired...and it seems to be this #seagull!

A while ago I tooted a similar photo of the same #bird, but I wanted to show this one as well, because I like the peaceful atmosphere.

The #WaddenSea is a special place on earth for me. Incredibly fascinating to just walk over the ocean ground.

No photo for a while...but here's one from a few days ago, a beautiful little grape #hyacinth.

Like most people in our area we have quite a lot of those in our #garden. Their wonderful blossoms area such a great sign of early spring.

This specific one grew tall enough for me to get my camera below it and use the leaves in the foreground as bokeh, while a setting evening sun painted everything in a beautiful, warm light.

Here's one of my favourite insect, the lovely #ladybug!

The best ally you can have if you want to get rid of aphids and a universally positive symbol.

This specific one was sitting on one of our trees in the garden and didn't care the slightest about my clumsy way of photographing it.

Wasn't easy, but I wanted to get the grass as a contrasting colour to the red bug and I love how it turned out.

My first #BeeFly this year!

Although they might look intimidating with their long proboscis, they are absolutely harmless (as long as you are not a target for their larvae that is, but if you're not an insect, you need not worry).

They usually just sit or buzz around, looking for some sweet nectar to feed on. And pollinate plants this way! Some even hover while sucking nectar like tiny hummingbirds, which just makes them even more awesome.

Our small little #magnolia is blooming!

So that's todays photo for you, just a small macro straight from the garden. These are always one of the earliest blossoms, they look awesome, they smell so good and I just like their sight. Although this is just a very small plant, not nearly like those massive magnolia trees that you can see occasionally.

Doesn't matter, it gives me joy and I hope it does for you too!
