The things you didn't even know you had to worry about. Watched an #ExplainingComputers video last night on "Secure Boot Certificate Expiry (Windows & Linux)". As best as I can tell, I should be okay since I don't have it active:
bok@sqr128zena:~$
sudo mokutil --sb-state
[sudo] password for bok:
SecureBoot disabled
Platform is in Setup Mode
I hope so, since the update command fails:
bok@sqr128zena:~$ sudo fwupdmgr update
WARNING: UEFI capsule updates not available […]
Devices with no available firmware updates:
• SPCC M.2 SSD
• UEFI dbx
I'll see what happens in forty days:

Not After : Jun 27 21:32:45 2026 GMT
If my March 2015 NUC5i5RYK dies, I'll take it as a sign to upgrade. #Linux #SecureBoot

TU Graz is mentioned in ExplainingComputers’ latest video about RISC-V (towards the end):

Latest ExplainingComputers video concerns OS age verification legislation. I couldn't finish, too sad.
Chris is like a 1980s BBC Micro or Usbourne computer book come to life. He reminds me of a time when computers were exciting, comforting, social, required some programming knowledge and understanding of the hardware. The wide area network was paper magazines, you typed in the program, it didn't work, maybe you figured out why.
I don't want to see him grappling with the latest force fed shit sandwich. Poor Chris, poor Stanley the Knife, poor everyone.

Speaking of which, when I think of the Usbourne computer books, and then where general purpose computing is now… 😩

Just stumbled over this @pop_os_official review from #ExplainingComputers. I must admit, the cosmic desktop looks far more interesting than I would have expected. Nice job, @system76 !
