Free Improvisors Meeting in Memmingen geht im Juni ’26 in die dritte Runde

Wie ich so dem #MoersFestival entgegen flutsche, schaue ich doch mal wieder in die Booking-Tabelle für mein #FreieMusik / #ImproMusik / #ExperimentelleMusik Projekt #UniversumORS.

Das Protokoll, welchem Veranstalter ich wann geschrieben habe, ist leider sehr demotivierend: Die meisten haben nie geantwortet. Eine Absage, was gäbe ich für eine schöne kleine Ablehnung. Aber überall nur Ghosting.

Wir haben mittlerweile eine digitale Mappe mit Text, Foto und natürlich auch mit solide gemischten Live-Tonaufnahmen. Spielt keine Rolle, ich denke nicht, dass die jemals jemand der kontaktierten anschaut. #Booking – sinnlos.

Das Moers Festival hatte zumindest geantwortet, dass sie mit mit einer Flut von Anfragen konfrontiert seien und eher nicht antworten könnten.

So fahre ich eben als Besucher hin.

Joaquin Ortega is an Argentine musician based between Paris and Bern.

In his solo project he explores the interaction between the guitar and field recordings, alongside bodily movement and contemporary musical languages. His current projects involve Audrey Chen, Philipp Eden, Gerry Hemingway, Sebastian Strinning, among others.

Beyond these projects, he composed the sound design and developed aspatialization setup for Gohar Martirosyan’s installation during her residency at the Fondation Fiminco in spring 2024. He also took part in a composition residency with Luca Ventimiglia, creating a performance for the international pavilion Desired Lines at the Venice Biennale, and was awarded a residency by the Institut Supérieur des Arts et Design de Toulouse at the Cité Internationale des Arts in Paris in 2023 and 2025.

Daniel Bierdümpfl is an Linz - Austria based interdisciplinary Artist.

Daniel is a former luthier of plucked & bowed string instruments, he studied time based & interactive media arts at the Kunstuniversität Linz (AT) and works as a free lance artist in the fields of music, performance, theater, choreography, poetry, film & photography. He was nominated among five other finalists for the Oe1 Jazz scholarship 2023 as well as one of six finalists I AM ABROAD 2024 Open Call (New European Project for Free Improvisation Artists) Vienna AT. He is the head of programming & production for Raumschiff Linz with a focus on contemporary, improvised and off-genre music & performance.
