The Caretaker

@Lana If it sounds like the essence of eldritch horror and existential dread boiled down into a format a human brain can comprehend, it’s The Caretaker (John Leyland Kirby).

To this day, I have not been able to listen to the entirety of #EverywhereAtTheEndOfTime, especially the later stages, even though I really, really *want* to.

I'm still a reeling from listening through #TheCaretaker's 6 album #ambient #music masterpiece #EverywhereAtTheEndOfTime. It's a long 6.5 hour committement (i did it in about a week), but it's so worth it. The experience is vivid and tragic andvery moving. It's hard to imagine a more realized vision of #dementia.

Just got done with Stage/Chapter 3 and I'm wrecked. Those abrupt transitions and all the distortion was really damn rough. Yet in a eerily haunting way, quite beautiful too. Hmm I'm not sure what to think.

I'm having a quick debate with myself on whether I want to proceed onto Stages 4 & 5. I want to go to Deaf Club tonight to practice Auslan and don't want to arrive a crying mess. Hmmm. 🤔
