Everybody codes, 2025
November is over, and I’d like to show you, how much of #EverybodyCodes I was able to finish and how fast. #coding #puzzles Everybody Codes. My code: Github. My points: Quest Part Global Rank Global Score Global Time 190 9d 19h 10m 52s 000ms 3 III 136 15 57m 14s 203ms 4 III 116 35 […]
Small win, though: Since I was actually around the moment today's quest dropped, my P1/P2 solution submissions were fast enough to be in the top 100 🎉
Quest 16 "Harmonics of Stone" #EverybodyCodes (in #Python)
https://everybody.codes/event/2025/quests/16
Another partial. Parts 1 and 2, no problems. With Part 3, I initially had a reading comprehension problem, which meant I wasn't even able to reproduce the proper results for 1, 10, 100, etc, blocks. After dinner and some tv-watching distraction, I figured _that_ out, but my solution is a dud for the real challenge alas.
Maybe tomorrow after some sleep, ☕️, and a dentist appointment?

Quest 15 "Definitely Not a Maze" #EverybodyCodes 2025 (in #Python)
https://everybody.codes/event/2025/quests/15
This is only Parts 1 and 2. For Part 3 I did adjust how I store the line segments, but I'm not familiar with a search algorithm that handles the huge leaps across space. So while the the code in P3 works for the notes in P1 and P2, it is going to finish around the end of the universe (if ever) with the notes from P3.
