#Wolfe misses the point, as usual. There's a difference between opposing a genocidal maniac named #Putin while promoting keeping our country's promises (the U.S. committed to protect #Ukraine decades ago in the name of nuclear disarmament) versus prioritizing the "what's in it for me" attitude of so much of domestic politics.

I speak on _issues_, while rejecting partisan affiliation. I'll champion the case of the #unborn, the elderly and, yes, those wrongly oppressed in Ukraine. I'll champion freedom, which includes the freedom to #Evangelize and disciple in the #Gospel.

What you won't see me champion is my preferred tax policy. Or see me constantly get high on outrage porn about whether I'm being persecuted or not. Christians in Ukraine are being persecuted by Putin. Christians in China are being persecuted by Xi.

Christians need to spend more time championing core moral principles of Bible, rather than just culture warring and compromising virtue to "win" said war. Stand for the poor and oppressed. Oppose those who blaspheme Christ by cloaking their murderous regimes with the Cross, e.g. Putin.

We should reopen and #evangelize #libraries, and I think everyone should spend a few hours per week just finding any book on any topic and reading it cover to cover. There's still something to be said about holding a #book, especially an old one, in your hands. Flipping the pages. Absorbing its scent. Not saying you can't get the same experience digitally, but many people don't use their digital devices for true #learning and #cognitive growth. Apps and games aren't the same.

It's how I grew up and fed my deepest #addiction - #learning - spending hours in the library and just reading. The Internet barely existed. That's true knowledge. Ever learning. Ever #craving more. And I believe knowledge is true power.

Too many churches don’t #evangelize. Their pastors don’t just sit around waiting for visitors, but neither do they deliberately seek out pagans, try to be Jesus to them, share Jesus with them, and invite ’em to church. They just don’t.

You can blame the growing number of unreligious people on all sorts of societal trends, but I’m telling you: The growing churches are evangelizing, and the shrinking churches are not.

An Illinois church closes its doors as religion declines in the US

First Baptist Church of Mt. Vernon, Illinois, plans to hold the last service of its 156-year history on Sunday. It's among many U.S. churches that close their doors each year. But there’s a poignant twist in this story. First Baptist’s pastor, Ryan Burge, spends much of his time as a researcher, documenting the dramatic decline in religious affiliation in recent decades. With more Americans abandoning religious affiliation, it's hard to grow and sustain a church, Burge says. He hopes his research, and his personal experience, can provide comfort to other pastors of struggling churches. “This is not all your fault,” Burge tells them.

This is happening because #Christians are afraid they are losing #culturalDominance and they want to either #evangelize to #nonChristian #students or drill it into their heads that they are second-class citizens in this country, thereby making it easier for those like #DeSantis to force their #religion on them in other ways.

Mastodon is big in Japan. The reason why is... uncomfortable - Ethan Zuckerman

Remember Mastodon? In April 2017, there was a wave of excitement about Mastodon, a federated social network begun in October 2016 by Eugen Rochko, a 24-year old German software engineer, as an alternative to Twitter. Recent news about CloudFlare’s decision to stop providing services to the Daily Stormer has me thinking about decentralized publishing, one… Read More »Mastodon is big in Japan.
