I note how your attempt at pejorative framing wholly omits any expression of concern for vulnerable people who object to the risk they face of being coerced into a premature death.
Not a squeak on it.
But if #Euthanasia is not legalised, people will still have the option to commit suicide, as they always have had. Victims of coercion have no alternative.

Having now worked in #health/ #social care for 20 years I'm conflicted about this - the delay is also going to be held up as a victory for more theocratic minded folk, but I'd support human #euthanasia more if we had a less fractured society and fewer financial pressures on #healthcare
I'm already hearing of claims in NL, BE and CA (including from people I trust) there is pressure being put on patients to end their lives rather than have more complex/expensive forms of treatment, and really would *not* put it past some British families "having Grandad put to sleep to save on care home costs (and to keep hold of property that seniors might own outright, but is often sold to pay for care costs!)
Maybe #neoliberalism / #capitalism needs to die first?
