European heritage label : guidelines for candidate sites.
The European Heritage Label awards sites that are carefully selected at the national and European level for their symbolic value and for the activities they offer to raise awareness of their role in the history and culture of Europe and/or the building of the European Union. With the attribution of the European Heritage Label, selected heritage sites will become part of a network of sites that have shaped the history of Europe.
