Today we saw a lifer!

My phone alerted me to some new arrivals so we headed up to a farmers field near Lessingham, north Norfolk. Perched on the power cables were 13 European Bee-Eaters!

Excuse the photo quality they were at quite a range from the road.

Ein Bienenfresser sitzt auf einem Ast und reckt den Kopf nach oben, den Schnabel geöffnet, als würde er rufen oder nach einer vorbeifliegenden Beute schnappen. Sein leuchtend buntes Gefieder mit Türkis, Gelb und Kastanienbraun hebt sich harmonisch vom weichen, grünen Hintergrund ab.
