ADVICE FOR NON-EURO TRAVELLERS
If you need cash, DO NOT use "Euronet" ATMs.
They are everywhere in Europe, but they always try to scam you in every possible way!
If you need cash, find a branch of a local bank or post office (use google maps) and take the cash from there.
They all accept cards from the major international providers (visa, mastercard, maestro, american express).
You'll pay a fee for transfer and currency exchange, but they won't scam you.

@DieWespe ja, aber das ist aus gutem Grund so.
- Zumal diese Zahl sich auch noch auf 4 inkompatible Netze (im Sinne von wer an den falschen Automat geht zahlt heftig Gebühren und kann gänzlich nicht einzahlen) aufteilt und #Filialen mit Personal immer rarer werden.
Sei es Sparkassen, Volksbanken/Raiffeisenbanken, CashGroup (DeutscheBank, Postbank, Norisbank, ...) oder die größten Blutsauger, #EuroNet...

Such a good deal!
Except… my bank did it for 772.12 CHF instead.
Let me break that down for you:
Euronet rate: 4.02 PLN = 1 CHF
My bank's rate: 4.56 PLN = 1 CHF
Their markup: +13.3%
Actual scam in numbers: I would’ve paid 102.84 CHF more just for saying “yes.”
And the cherry on top?
They try to scare you with “The rate will not be guaranteed if you decline.”
No worries, Euronet — I’ll take my chances with someone who isn’t trying to rob me in daylight.

Always decline conversion. Let your bank handle it.

DanielBankomaten der Firma #Euronet sind ja bekannt für verschiedene Abzockpraktiken (Gebühren, Wechselkurse…) und man liest schon seit Jahren immer wieder Warnungen davor.
