Left is a Eurasian Collared dove. Suggestions for the other 2 are either common #doves or Mourning doves. The coloration matches that of Mourning doves, but from what info I found, #MourningDoves are about the same size as #EurasianCollaredDoves 🤷‍♂️

Hunkered Down

Late on Thanksgiving Day, in a quiet Georgia town, I spotted three Eurasian collared doves (Streptopelia decaocto) hunkered near the top of a bare tree. Their posture, the stark branches, and the soft light formed a quietly compelling composition. I considered both the color and monochrome versions of the photograph but ultimately chose black and white—for its mood, its simplicity, and the way it honored the stillness of that moment.
