Israeli official Michael Comay wrote:
The expulsion of Quneitra's Arabs "prompts repeated complaints & inquiries from the Red Cross."
"It seems to us that if there is no alternative, it is better to get rid of the problem at once in the most humane way possible."

Just as today, soldier testimonials from the 1967 war show ethnic cleansing & murder was Israeli policy:
"At first I wasn't willing to execute Arabs who weren't resisting," one soldier said. Then we concluded "that we had to kill." We ceased "to see them as human beings."

It is good that the #CEAS is coming into force today. #Asylum will now be addressed in a uniform and coordinated manner at a European level. EU regulations simplify the process of national implementation. #reducingbureaucracy
In practice, however, the right to individual asylum at external borders and the human rights of asylum seekers must now be guaranteed – this is where I have my concerns.

In der Praxis müssen jetzt aber das individuelle Recht auf Asyl an den Außengrenzen (#Anerkennungsquote ) und die #Menschenrechte der Asylbewerber gewährleistet werden – und hier habe ich Bauchschmerzen.
