1️⃣ The shocking development at the end of this chapter does a great job of making it look like Perry can’t possibly win the case. Good storytelling.

2️⃣ Holcomb (#EricLange) might be the show’s best character, and this script makes great use of him. His detective work (from earlier in the season) is given to Perry. And he provides crucial information that helps provide Della with reasonable doubt in court. The various pieces of the jigsaw are coming together nicely.
