This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Eoraptor

In 1991, University of San Juan paleontologist Ricardo Martínez found the holotype in the Cancha de Bochas Member of the Ischigualasto Formation in Argentina

In 1993, Paul Sereno, Catherine Forster, Raymond R. Rogers, and Alfredo M. Monetta named the fossil Eoraptor.

In 1995, Sereno posited that Eoraptor was an early Theropod. It was later thought to be a basil saurischian,

In 2018, it was classified as an early sauropodomorph.

Another small acrylic dinosaur portrait on watercolor paper, this time it's the early sauropodomorph Eoraptor. #paleoart #Eoraptor
