From 2020 to 2022, Drea was on the board of Fine Gael's Policy Lab.
Dr #EoinDrea is a senior researcher at the #WilfriedMartensCentre, the official think tank of the #EuropeanPeopleParty (#EPP) of which #FineGael #FG is a member.
FG will probably try to disown Eoin Drea. They will says this is just a personal opinion by an academic researcher etc, that it's obviously not in any way FG's position.
That is of course #bollix. EPP staff don't go placing op-eds on highly sensitive #foreignpolicy issues without some liaison with the local EPP member party.
