Actress Mamie Van Doren (95) is breaking her silence on her friendship with Elizabeth Short (1924-1947), the victim of the Black Dahlia murder.

Van Doren details her close friendship with Short during her early years in Hollywood in her new memoir, “You Thought I Was Dead.”

Elizabeth Short's killer was never identified.

Jack Nicholson (89) stepped in and helped Field escape comedic typecasting after #TheFlyingNun as she launched a successful dramatic acting career that led to two Oscar wins (1980, 1985).
