If you have to contend with the "BuT #COVID19 iS JuSt A CoLd!" crowd, I heartily recommend (for you AND them) the Wikipedia article on #enteroviruses. They're another group of cold viruses (the largest group in fact), besides coronaviruses. Polio is an enterovirus. But if you think polio is just a freak anomaly and the other enteroviruses are harmless, prepare to be disillusioned. These things are NASTY.
