Another week, another court defeat for #trespasser #EnochBurke.

Judge #BrianCregan said that Burke “has the keys to his own prison cell in #CastlereaPrison, just as he had in #MountjoyPrison”.

Burke is imprisoned by his own choice. The Prisons Act 2007 allows the #IrishPrisonService to move a prisoner from one prison to another..

As usual, Burke lied about why he is in prison. Burke also repeatedly tried to talk over the judge, but was muted.

#EnochBurke's five millionth* court appearance is to object to being kept safe, in a smaller prison nearer his family. Wicked, says Enoch

But luckily, he can't disrupt the #HighCourt #IEHC any more. All his appearances are now on a video link, which gets cut if he kicks off. This also saves the cost of a van, driver, and escorting officer to bring Burke to and from the court.

Note: the tally of five million is #sarcasm and #hyperbole, induced by the #BurkeFamily

@www.rte.ie.news Man who has defied court orders for over three years alleges that a court order has been broken. 😅 🤣

##EnochBurke

For the love of God, would somebody somewhere tell #EnochBurke to shut da fook up and stop wasting court time with his endless whining.

Enoch Burke claims his transfer to Castlerea Prison is 'in breach' of High Court order

The death of the #JackWolfskin brand 😅🤣

Unless you want to be associated with an attention-seeking fundamentalist from the #BurkeFamily family of public menaces.

In #Castlebar, few people want to go on the record about the #BurkeFamily.

The town's fundamentalist fugitives #MartinaBurke and #AmmiBurke are nowhere to be seen. The duo are sentenced to a fortnight of imprisonment for #ContemptOfCourt, like Ammi's brother #EnochBurke who is held indefinitely held for repeated #trespass.

#JusticeCregan called it a "family circus". Who wants to be caught up in that?

Report by Áine Ryan in The #IrishTimes: https://archive.is/qDld5 /https://www.irishtimes.com/crime-law/courts/2026/03/05/in-burke-country-many-people-have-a-lot-of-time-for-the-family-but-want-to-keep-their-heads-down/

Ireland is stuck in a legal drama over an ex-teacher. #EnochBurke and his large family of religious fundamentalist headbangers are in a four-year battle with #WilsonsHospital school. The dispute began with the school's request that staff respect a pupil's request that when a pronoun is used, they be referred to by the prounoun "they".

#SingularThey is at least 651 years old, which may be a bit modern for the #BurkeFamily.

The #OED tells the story at https://www.oed.com/discover/a-brief-history-of-singular-they/

Solicitor #TerryGorry has published an update on the #EnochBurke / #BurkeFamily circus, following the sentencing on Wednesday of Enoch's mammy #MartinaBurke & his sister #AmmiBurke.

The two women were jailed for two weeks for their #ContemptOfCourt on 20th February. It was latest incident in a long line of court disruptions by the Burkes.

Terry Gorry (based in Enfield, Co Meath) has been providing regular legal commentary on the Burke saga. It is archived at https://youtube.com/@terrygorry

RTÉ's Órla O'Donnell on the jailing of #EnochBurke's mother #MartinaBurke and sister #AmmiBurke for #ContemptOfCourt.

Judge Cregan said it was "long past time for the court to call a halt to this family circus".

He said the Burkes had been treated with great forbearance by the courts but the situation where ten gardaí had to be present in court during Burke-related cases was completely abnormal and could not continue.
