Houston residents to see higher electricity bills following CenterPoint’s winter rate adjustment

As of Sept. 1, the average bill for a residential customer using 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity will increase by $13.50 after CenterPoint made a semiannual adjustment to its charge for power transmission and delivery. That charge is expected to decrease next March.
