One boundary I didn’t know I was allowed to set?
“I’m not available for conversations that drain me.”

I thought I had to be “the bigger person.”

To stay calm.

To explain.

To make THEM feel safe - even if I was slowly disappearing in the process.

I thought being kind meant being available

for every rant, every trauma dump, every guilt trip dressed as concern.

But I don’t do that anymore.

Now I say things like:

🖤 “I don’t have the energy for this right now.”
🖤 “Can we talk about something lighter?”
🖤 Or I just don’t reply.

Because my peace isn’t up for debate.

My body knows when a conversation is life-giving or soul-sucking.

And she gets the final word now.

If it costs me clarity, energy, or self-trust —

I’m not available.

Okay but wait… can we talk about the actual freedom that comes from saying:

“Not today. Not this time. Not for me.”

Because DUUUUDE.

I spent years thinking I had to be available.

To explain. To justify. To be nice.

Even when my body was screaming no.

Even when my whole nervous system was like:

“Love, please… not this again.”

So. Here’s what I’m learning (still, always):

Your energy is sacred.

And not everyone gets to have a piece of it.

You get to rest.
You get to not reply.
You get to change your mind.
You get to protect your weird, sparkly, introverted, powerful magic.

Even if it disappoints someone.

Even if they don’t understand.

That doesn’t make you rude.

It makes you self-honouring.

And honestly? That’s the kind of rebellion I wish for all of us.

The soft kind. The sovereign kind. The slow, sacred kind.
