Last preparations for my talk in symposium S36 "Transformations of visual representations from retina to cortex" at #GoeMe23.
I will explore a nature-nurture transform that underlies the emergence of reliable, mature representations of visual angles.
Many thanks to Dr. Helene Schreyer & Dr. Norma Kühn @nkkuhn for organizing such a great lineup and inviting me as early career speaker!

#Oxytocin's role in out-group violence and discrimination is well-documented. Oxytocin makes everything an in-group member says or does seem wonderful, socially acceptable and, somehow, correct. Those "others," however, are given the exact opposite treatment - the "others" are a threat, socially undesirable, and patently incorrect in all their thoughts and actions.
