it's been almost 10 years since I left Tasmania. Before I left, I did a bunch of day trips in and around the central highlands, including a trip to Pine Lake. You can get right up close to the endemic Pencil Pine, which grow slowly and live for over 1200 years. I miss this part of the world and its endemic inhabitants dearly.
