Why Sororities Should Admit Nonbinary Members  - Ms. Magazine

Sororities in U.S. colleges are facing lawsuits for accepting trans women and nonbinary members. They must change their rules and bylaws.

Every time I've taken down my readings and energy healing offers, it pretty much never fails that somebody will reach out asking me for one of those things. No surprise, it happened again today.

Normally I would accept that request. I have traditionally always accepted those requests. Not this time. I said no.

What's different?

My awareness of expectations and the feeling that I'm not allowed to make my own choices.

Saying no wasn't the hard part. I had the power to say no.

I had to release myself from the expectation of saying yes.

Let's be clear. The story of the outside world says I should say yes. Money is a thing. I probably can help that person. I can do the reading easily enough. It's no problem to do. I have time.

It's not mine to do. I want to write. I want to share with you. I want you to come to Patreon and hang out with me. I want you to sign up for the daily emails. I want this to be about what I write and share.

Yes, within 10 minutes of saying no somebody signed up to Patreon.

That's the point. I shifted the energy and it moved immediately. The story changed because I finally used the power I have to change it.

I've always had the power and never allowed myself to use it.

So what happens if I use it?

Let's find out, shall we?

Love to all.

3 things that aren't in my profile.

1. Felt like a snitch posting pictures of people to Facepalm, so mostly took humanless photos, felt like a sociopath.

2. Took a single, bad photo at my sister's wedding thinking I'll get photos from Facepalm, you know the account I deleted, woops.

3. Sentimental Disney favorite is Rescuers Down Under, never saw the original.
