Note on Chief Anthony #Enahoro and his memoir.

The man was one of the key political figures pushing for the Independence. His memoir covers time up to couple years after it was gained, to the point when he was caught in political squabbles which involved dodgy courts, escapes, death sentences and extraditions.

However, as much as all these paint him heroic, he also was a minister of Federal Govt. of #Nigeria during genocidal #Biafra war saying "starvation is a legitimate [weapon] of war".

Found this mention of the trip in Fugitive Offender, memoir by Chief Anthony Enahoro.

"However, the leaders of the N.C.N.C. went on to complete their tour, in the course of which they raised £13,000 for the delegation to London, where the Secretary of State for the Colonies told them quite briefly to 'go home and co-operate' with the administration."
