Evening sights at #MadisonSquareGarden in #NYC following last night's #Springsteen concert. The old Farley Post Office, repurposed as the Moynihan Train Hall extension of Penn Station is lit beautifully at night. Looking east, we have the #EmpireStateBuilding lit in green. Sadly this view will likely be blocked when a planned supertall goes up where the old Pennsylvania Hotel once stood. Looking west, we have the towers of #HudsonYards. And inside, the iconic ceiling - there's no doubt where you are. Despite getting home after 1AM, I'm grateful we can get into the city and enjoy all it has to offer. As someone who remembers the dark gritty days of the 70s, it's nice to see the city clean, brightly lit and beautiful.

Capturing the essence of dreams and ambition in the city that never sleeps! 🌆✨ The Empire State Building stands tall, reminding us that with perseverance and passion, the sky is the limit. Let's reach for our dreams! 💫🗽

Zeitzeichen - 01.05.1931: Höher, schneller, Empire State: Wettlauf der Wolkenkratzer

Mitten in der Weltwirtschaftskrise blickt New York nach oben: Am 1.5.1931 öffnet das Empire State Building - und bleibt fast vier Jahrzehnte das höchste Gebäude der Welt.

In this era of the soul-less #supertall #skyscrapers swallowing the surrounding cityscape, it's always nice to look up and see the iconic #EmpireStateBuilding - the original, and best.
