I'm trying #Amtrak #EmpireService RHI-NYP instead of #Trailways and it is a fascinating microcosm containing almost every Amtrak issue. Trains are canceled due to work on an East River tunnel, even though the route doesn't use them except for yard access. But AMTK needs to accommodate NJT trains (also for yard storage) in those tunnels. Because there is no through-running, because there is no inter-agency cooperation. Also: boarding through only 2 doors, no assigned seating, wifi comes and goes.

Mit einer Stunde Verspätung die Ankunft am Zielbahnhof Niagara Falls - das Zugpersonal war schnell darin, die wenigen Fahrgäste vom Bahnhof runter zu scheuchen, offenbar nicht nur, um Feierabend zu machen, sondern auch, weil es sich um einen Grenzbahnhof mit abgeschirmten Bahnsteig handelt #Amtrak #EmpireService
