El mejor libro de fantasía que leí este año es Empire of the Vampire de Jay Kristoff.
Devuelve el peligro y la mugre a las historias de los chupasangres y le agrega una nueva capa de sensualidad pero más border.
Además de tener grandes personajes usa trucos narrativos muy interesantes con una prosa cuidada y ganchera. A todo esto le suma nuevas ideas y conceptos geniales.
Por suerte el año que viene sale la continuación.

I’ve just devoured 700+ pages of this #book in under 6 days and it’s phenomenal. I was hesitant reading the blurb that the main character is a vampire hunter because, well, I like vampires! But Gabriel is half-vampire himself so has the powers, thirsts & healing abilities of one himself, and is such an irreverent bastard that I was truly sucked in. The world-building & characters are incredible and damned if there isn’t more plot jammed into this book than I thought possible. #EmpireOfTheVampire
