In Francia tornata elettorale 'monstre' che porterà all'elezione di 35 mila sindaci. Ma anche un test politico chiave per il presidente Emmanuel Macron in vista della corsa per l'Eliseo in programmanel 2027. Domenica 15 marzo quasi 48 milioni di cittadini francesi andranno alle urne per il primo turno delle elezioni amministrative (il secondo turno è previsto per il 22 marzo). Si vota in migliaia di piccoli e medi comuni ma anche in città importanti, a cominciare da Parigi, Marsiglia, Bordeaux, Lione, Nizza, e Tolosa. L'affluenza alle urne è data in aumento, malgrado una campagna elettorale tesissima, sconvolta dalla guerra in Medio Oriente e dall'omicidio dell'attivista di estrema destra Quentin Deranque a Lione, in cui sarebbe coinvolto anche il collaboratore di un deputato de La France Insoumise, il partitodi estrema sinistra guidato da Jean Luc Melénchon. La partecipazione, tradizionalmente alta in Francia si stima possa attestarsi tra il 65% e il 71%. Il che sarebbe un record almeno dal 2004.
Pur essendo elezioni locali, l'esito delle urne darà una prima indicazione delle dinamiche politiche che porteranno alle elezioni presidenziali e legislative del 2027. Nelle grandi città tutto è possibile, data l'alta frammentazione del voto che permetterà a molti candidati di superare la soglia del 10% necessaria per accedere al secondo turno. A Parigi la partita sembra giocarsi tra l'ex ministro della Cultura Rachida Dati per il centrodestra, in testa ai sondaggi, e il socialista Emmanuel Gregoire. Ma la candidata dell'estrema destra 'zemmorista', Sarah Knafo, è data al 13,5% e potrebbe giocare il ruolo di arbitro della partita. A Marsiglia, il sindaco uscente di sinistra, Benoit Payan, potrebbe trovarsi a fronteggiare Franck Allisio, candidato del Rassemblement National, la candidata di centrodestra Martine Vassal e il candidato di La France Insoumise, Sebastien Delogu. Partita aperta anche a Tolosa, Bordeaux, Lilla e Lione.
