Il Tempo: Fiano verso l'addio al Pd: "Impossibile rimanere in un Partito così"

"È veramente difficile se non impossibile rimanere in un Partito così". Con queste parole l'ex parlamentare dem Emanuele Fiano si dirge verso l'addio al Pd, dopo aver appreso che la sezione di Milano ha chiesto una nuova sospensione del gemellaggio cittadino con Tel Aviv. Lo scrive in un post su Facebook: "Bravi complimenti vi siete messi il cuore in pace così. [...] Voi interrompete il legame con tutta Tel Aviv, anche quella che lavora senza tregua per la pace e contro la guerra da sempre. È un'idea geniale, di alta politica, utilissima alla pace".
Fiano considera la scelta "un classico della semplificazione manichea" per cui da una parte sta solo il male, dall'altra il bene. "Quando ho cominciato a frequentare il Pci milanese e poi il Pds - prosegue - si organizzavano incontri con la sinistra israeliana e quella palestinese e addirittura viaggi in Israele e Palestina per capire, per conoscere, per studiare (parola ormai desueta) e per farsi protagonisti del dialogo. Mai visto niente del genere nel Partito di oggi".
La sferzata arriva alla fine del post: "Come mai non chiedete l'interruzione del gemellaggio con Chicago negli USA, visto il comportamento di Trump? E come mai non chiedete di cancellare il gemellaggio con San Pietroburgo visto il comportamento di Putin?".
Il Pd perde così un veterano del Partito e palesa sempre più una scelta di campo che strizza l'occhio al mondo propal.

It is truly difficult, if not impossible, to remain in a party like this. With these words, former Democratic parliamentarian Emanuele Fiano heads towards his farewell to the PD, after learning that the Milan section has requested a new suspension of the city twinning with Tel Aviv. He writes this in a Facebook post: “Well done, congratulations, you’ve found peace of mind. […] You cut off ties with all of Tel Aviv, even the one that has always worked tirelessly for peace and against war. It’s a brilliant idea, of high politics, extremely useful for peace.”

Fiano considers the choice “a classic of Manichean simplification” whereby on one side there is only evil and on the other there is good. “When I started attending the Milanese PCI and then the PDS, meetings were held with Israeli and Palestinian left-wing groups, and even trips to Israel and Palestine were taken to understand, to get to know, to study (a word now obsolete) and to be protagonists of dialogue. I’ve never seen anything like that in today’s Party.”

The blow comes at the end of the post: “Why don’t you ask for the suspension of the twinning with Chicago in the USA, given Trump’s behavior? And why don’t you ask for the cancellation of the twinning with St. Petersburg, given Putin’s behavior?”

The PD thus loses a veteran of the party and increasingly reveals a choice of side that looks towards the pro-Western world.

Lo rivela oggi l'associazione studentesca "Futura", che giovedì scorso aveva organizzato un incontro con il leader di Azione. La contestazione è stata rivendicata sui social dal "Collettivo Sumud", che già si era reso protagonista in ottobre dell'interruzione di un incontro con l'ex parlamentare Pd Emanuele Fiano. In un video su Instagram del collettivo si vede anche un contestatore fare il gesto della P38 verso il banco dove era seduto Calenda, e un altro pronunciare lo slogan: "Guerra alla guerra. Futura è guerra. Guerra a Futura".   "Non ne farei una questione. Erano due ragazzi (di numero) che hanno sbagliato il cartellone, non gli funzionava il megafono, blateravano cose incomprensibili e quando li ho invitati a esprimersi in lingua italiana al microfono si sono dileguati. So ragazzi". Cosi', su X, il leader di Azione, Carlo Calenda, archivia la contestazione nei suoi confronti.
