One of the reasons why leaving #Twitter improved my #MentalHealth is that I'm no longer hooked up to the 24/7 news cycle via a central IV line.
Every day, I'd open that thing to at least a half-dozen awful news events that I couldn't do anything about.
I still read the news, but I'm no longer ingesting a never-ending flow of reminders that the Current Environment sucks. Humans simply aren't equipped to handle that.
My prediction: In light of these latest shenanigans, #Google and #Apple are going to end up delisting #Twitter from their app stores.
As more and more people that I followed have migrated here, I've pretty much stopped using my Twitter account. Also, it's safe to say that Twitter is a hate site now, and I don't want to contribute to it.

I don't CARE if #Mastodon is an "echo chamber." I've never claimed to be a "tolerant liberal," or a "tolerant" anything. I openly hate Nazis, transphobes, pedophiles, et al. I have ZERO desire to "understand" their POVs.
My great uncle voluntarily signed up for WW2 so he could go kill Nazis. He deadass brought home a cap as a souvenir from one of his kills. His brother, my grandfather, wanted to go kill Nazis too, but a hiatal hernia kept him out of action. He was so upset about that, he still talked about it decades later.
Hating Nazis is a proud family tradition. It's in my blood.
Those terrible people wanted #Twitter, and now they have it all to themselves. Good riddance.
