I was so excited to see this even though I am not in California. For decades I have taken it upon myself to complain to property managers that have expired elevator certificates and to snitch on them if they don’t do anything about it.

So this guy builds this database and when someone suggests that he notify the authorities he doesn’t want to hurt the industry so he doesn’t want to do that.

Fuck people like this. I want attention from my little tool that notifies you what elevators are unsafe but I don’t want to do anything about the unsafe elevators because it might hurt the people who don’t give a shit about elevator safety?
