Eine Frage an die #Matrix #Admin 's. Das Konto bei Matrix.org zeigt den online Status nicht an. Ich dachte das waere ein #Fehler oder #Bug von der Android App #ElementX - aber wie es aussieht ist das nicht das einzige #Problem
Scheinbar kann jeder Server entscheiden ob der online Status ein- oder ausgeschaltet ist - ist das korrekt? Wenn ja, warum ist das so? Ich finde es wirklich sehr schade, das diese nuetzliche Funktion ausgeschaltet ist :-(
Auf Eure #Meinung und #Antworten bin ich gespannt.

uuuuh was just checking my #dockerCompose services and read that the #Matrix SlidingSync Proxy is not required anymore when using the latest #Synapse and #ElementX

Time to cleanup some things and free up ressources.. 🧹

Question to the #Matrix people out there. As far as I understand it "Element Calls" is the new Voip standard for Matrix, implemented in #ElementX on Android.

This means that when I use ElementX I can call other ElementX clients. My #Element desktop client doesn't receive the calls and I can't call a ElementX client from the desktop. I don't know the status on iOS as there is no such thing as ElementX as far as I know.

Is there somewhere a overview about the implementation status / roadmap?

ElementX is *so* much faster than the current stable versions of Element and its various soft forks (I'm currently using SchildiChat).

As I've said before, I'm guessing it will take another 6-12 months for all the Matrix 2.0 upgrades to be rolled out and fully stabilized in the various app and server software. But if ElementX performance is anything to go by, the new and improved Matrix ecosystem will be well worth an open-minded test.

Hello #matrix users. Is still Element X the recommended client for mobile? I have to be honest, I find it still very bare-bones compared with its predecessor (no spaces, in particular)... but I am patient and I can wait for it to move on... I just want to be sure this is the way to go 😉 cc @matrix #element #elementx

I wrote on a GitHub issue about a bug related to #ElementX not working since the latest update (infinite sync/offline messages) because Element HQ decided to support only simplified sliding sync now for #Matrix homeservers.

Replies from the maintainers:
"use another homeserver that supports sliding sync"

"conduit is a hobby project and is not related to Element"

and I get a call out for "deviating" of the issue's topic for expressing my dissatisfaction.

#ElementX is nice. what still seems to be missing on #matrix is the channel functionality. or maybe it's just not as easy to find and use.

So now that I have a working #matrix #homeserver, what #screenreader #accessible clients for matrix do folks like? #elementX is...fine on #IOS with #voiceover. But it's kind of annoying with #NVDA. Is there a better desktop client? Thunderbird, I guess?
