I been playing around with #elefeed in an Android wrapper but found the only way to release an app on my account is to divulge my personal information including home address, which is insane.

Apparently this is only getting worse in the coming year https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2026/03/with-developer-verification-googles-apple-envy-threatens-to-dismantle-androids-open-legacy/

What happened to you #google, it's so sad to see.

With developer verification, Google's Apple envy threatens to dismantle Android's open legacy

Questions remain as Google prepares to lock down Android app distribution in the name of security.

Over the last week I've been adding loads of new features to #Elefeed.  I started the project because I wanted a way to filter people I follow and #hashtags in separate views.

I really love having the ability to reduce the noise and get to what I want to see.

If you'd like to try a new client for it's hosted over at https://elefeed.app

If you have any feedback or features I'd love to hear them as well!

Some other thoughts in reply.

@stonedonkey

1 point: The "new post" indicator appears over the timeline, and the only way to get it out of the way of what I'm looking at is to click it, which takes me to the top.
But when I'm trying to catch up on my feed, I DON'T want to go to the top, I want to keep scrolling down.

Could the indicator be out of the way of the content, or have a way to dismiss it/remind me later?
