@caity as part of my #transition, fwiw, there were several years of weekly then later monthly #electrolysis to remove all the neck & face filth, which rooly was Such Fun. Since finishing all that so long ago, i occasionally use an #epilator to handle the few follicular survivors. My sister tried it, once, for about two seconds, & just could not believe how anyone can do it. Thing is, eventually you kinda get used to it. Worth a try? Would be cheaper in the long run compared to paying someone.

A key barrier in protonic ceramics may be fading, and hydrogen tech could benefit

A newly developed ceramic material shows record-high proton conductivity at intermediate temperatures while remaining chemically stable, report researchers from Japan. Efficient hydrogen-to-electricity conversion is critical for hydrogen-based clean energy technologies, but few materials combine chemical stability with efficient proton conductivity. Thanks to an innovative donor co-doping strategy, the proposed ceramic material features increased proton concentration and mobility, realizing exceptional conductivity and stability under CO2, O2, and H2 environments.

I had my first full hour of electrolysis and it was fully manageable pain wise, so I will try two hours next time. I was able to listen to audiobook so didn’t feel that long.

The electrolysis tech was a different one to the one from the one from my consultation, but she was also very nice. Zero transphobia just understanding when I talked about how unpleasant the not shaving part is. But I now know where I can shave for next time, so hopefully less unpleasantness for the future.

I feel a lot better than before the appointment, which I suspect is both autism related (new stuff is always draining) and trans related with now having more transition progress.
