#KeretapiTanahMelayu Berhad (#KTMB)’s plans to get 10 new sets of #ElectricTrainService (#ETS) coaches is expected to allow over 7.5 million #passengers to use the service annually

Last year, there were 32 daily ETS trips & there were 4.12 million passengers

With new sets , the number of passengers is expected to increase to 7,547,565 passengers annually

The new #trains are scheduled for operations in phases beginning early 2025

There are plans to refurbish older #ElectricTrainService (#ETS) and #Komuter #trains, which will help increase capacity and frequency

There were some 18 old sets of ETS and Komuter trains and some are needing major overhauls before they could be put back into service

The Ministry of Transport (#MOT) decided to refurbish some of the older sets so that they could be reused
