i have a problem. there are two elderly people in my house who i have been talking to regularly just bc: they are lonely and need to be looked out for. now they got the beef of the century for reasons i honestly don't understand and are CONSTANTLY pulling me into it to the point the landlord contacted me about this over a complicated story i don't even want to get into bc it is not my fucking business. atm i just want to go downstairs knock at both of their doors and tell them i had it & want no more to do with their BS. but they are old an lonely and this beef is probably the only thing they have to do. maybe it is better to just keep listening to them and pipe it all to /dev/null. what do i do?

- I sleep more than an ageing fluff-ball cat but then I am an #elderly senile.
- Being awake on the #cyberverse is enough to send any maturity to #sleep. Try doom scrolling for nightmare or social media scrolling for sheep substitutes
- Before the inter-web was a thing, we created #meaningful bubbles and life #choices (remember choice)

For example:
1) I could eat Islamic hash browns without being questioned by the thought police.
2) I could #read #banned books at school or obtain them from the adult 'reserved' section of the local #libraries
3) Being #different, diffident or daffy was perfectly #normalised

Fortunately our youthies are now in contact worldwide. #Micro-blogging is now a Mastodon speciality. #Citizen science is almost a requirement. The future is bright. The future is a tangent tangerine.
