Last night I dreamed that there was an El Goonish Shive story arc involving trying to figure out Catalina and Rhoda's secret identities or powers, or something. At least, I think it was Catalina and Rhoda. One of them was dressed like a maid, and the other was dressed as Iku Nagae. Also, Tedd had a "new boyfriend", who was unnamed in the dream, but he was depicted as having curly dark-blonde hair and a pointy triangular nose. At a party, with the boyfriend laying his head in Tedd's lap, Tedd used some sort of magical jeweler's loupe to scan Catalina and Rhoda, and figured out the answer to the mystery instantly, and was like "oh, so it's like that, huh" in understanding. This inexplicably made the boyfriend just absolutely angry. Dreaming-me was surprised by this turn of events, on the basis that Dan supposedly wouldn't typically write this kind of interpersonal drama.
How it started: Some goo a guy was making in science class comes to life. An immortal being named Pandora Chaos Raven is straightforwardly evil, messing with mortals out of a sense of boredom. Wacky Alien Science and fetishy gender-bender stuff. Justin is the token gay friend.
How it's going: Pandora Chaos Raven, who was revealed to be not completely evil but cracked under the weight of her own immortality, sacrificed her power and her continuity-of-self (but not her emotional relationships) in order to save the lives of three family members; she reincarnated as a teenage girl named Hope, who is determined to become a better person than Pandora was, and is presently unlocking traumatic memories she-as-Pandora voluntarily suppressed of saving the life of a little girl. Wacky Alien Magic and magical genderfluid stuff. Justin is the token cis friend.

This weekend I finished reading the webcomic Skin Horse. Which apparently had been running for quite some time, but I didn't hear about it until it was over. In my usual catching-up mode, I read ten strips a day, so it took 526 days. It was pretty good.
I'm also trying to catch up on two other webcomics I heard of more recently, El Goonish Shive and Namesake. They have fewer strips, but they're also still running, so we'll see how that takes me.
