Having faked his own death and left power, the two hundred and fifty years old vampire Augusto Pinochet struggles to end his life.

Beautifully produced, the film delivers on its deranged pitch with a unique blend of macabre comedy and political allegory.

#ElConde: Not quite as buckwild as its "what if Pinochet was a vampire?" premise would imply, but this is still pretty out-there and raises some interesting points about how hard it is to truly kill evil.

I recently watched El Conde--very beautifully filmed and a bit of a surprise end, for me wrapped in a satire. #AgustoPinochet

Also watched Dr. Sleep, the "sequel" to The Shining. While the book was much better, the way Mike Flanagan changed things really worked for fans of Kubrick's movie.
