The train track through the Eiger to the Jungfraujoch has two stations in the mountain. I believe the station in the North Face is not served anymore (there is not enough spare time because the time table has been increased to get the millions of tourists up). There are windows in the mountain, so you could gaze down. The station in the South Face is still served (Eismeer, "Lake of Ice"). Nice view over the glacier.
Beautiful day for the Eigertrail, running directly underneath the Eiger North Face. There were maybe 6 people on the trail, nice and quiet (although the constant zooming of the cablecars was a bit distracting). Temperature went from real chilly to T-shirt weather.

Edit: the cunning plan just became cunnier. There is revision on the train track, so I will need to walk completely down.
