Using single-use cold-chain temp loggers to monitor Eider Duck nests: we put out Nest Shelters for eider ducks, and in them placed a single use temp logger as an alternative to more expensive and widely used iButton loggers.
It wasn't massively successful, as the ducks tended to kick out the loggers from the nests. However this one sort of worked - you can see mam duck keeping the nest at a constant temperature!
