@ChristophB To me, as someone interested in a similar phenomenon of „listening effort“, the thing about „ego depletion“ research is that there is a very real experience of being depleted by cognitive/emotional challenges in real life and thus being less prepared to take on others. This feeling exists. What is wrong with the ED Literatur as i understand it is that it claimed to but in fact did not capture that phenomenon in the lab. #ListeningEffort #EgoDepletion
