Sounds like people are liking the #EglintonLRT that just opened in #Toronto

As much as a long-running joke it was, waiting 15 years to get here, I think it will be a clear example of "a good product done late is still better than a (more) timely bad product". #Transit #Trains

I hope the Eglinton LRT opens soon. I was surprised to see a new bus route that connects to one of the stations.

I should take that new route from now on since it basically bypasses all the traffic on Eglinton West.

I was sorry to read that a pedestrian in Toronto was struck by an Eglinton LRT vehicle doing a test run. A sixty-four year old woman is now in hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Metrolinx, who built the LRT, and apparently have monkeys with typewriters working in their communications department, put out a public statement that starts: “Our thoughts are with all impacted by this event…”
