In stark contrast to such heresy, I recently learned of a delightful egg nogg variant hailing from Puerto Rico called Coquito:
Coquito recipe:
2 cans of evaporated milk
1 can of cream of coconut
1 can of coconut milk
1/2 cup of condensed milk
1 teaspoon of vanilla (I do like 1.5 because I like vanilla)
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon powder
1 cup (or more 😉) of rum- you can use dark or white, but I like to make mine with dark rum
All you have to do is add all to a blender and blend it until you don't see big clumps of the cream of coconut
Store in a glass bottle- my grandma is convinced it helps with the flavor 🤷
