Though testing is still needed to make sure it's safe
We can look forward to an egg we can consume with grace

Researchers genetically edited hens to remove the allergen protein ovomucoid to produce allergy-free eggs. While the genetically altered eggs appear safe for consumption for individuals with egg allergies, further testing is needed.
