The Iremongers are in search of a new home, the disease of Foulsham has spread into London, and Clod is coming into his powers... I am so glad I discovered this trilogy; it's wonderfully gothic and strange, and I've never read anything like it before.

Foulsham is whimsical and dark - much darker than Heap House - Binadit's first few chapters definitely scared me in the night.

This gothic tale follows its own rules and peculiar logic, making it infinitely surprising and almost impossible to put down. I am definitely looking forward to reading the next installment.
