Echeveria ‘Orion’

This used to be one big, beautiful rosette, but then the growth point went wonky and it became this crazy medusa.

You can see the former main stalk in the center.

Also one of the new heads is losing its growth point so things are just going to get crazier from here.

Echeveria ‘Shikon no Ya’ (紫紺の矢)

This is a creation of the most famous echeveria hybridizer in Japan, Orai-san. I got this originally from someone on Twitter, and it’s given me a lot of trouble: it nearly dies every summer when it gets hot and humid.

However there’s something about my indoor rack that seems to make plants want to split or pup, and thus we have a three-headed Shikon no Ya, in rare splendor before probably almost dying again this summer.
