Almost a year after #ING left (and disrupted) the mobile banking market in the #Philippines, #RCBC finally accepts online local cheque deposits, other than their own.

That was actually my second favorite feature with the old ING app. First, of course, was their high interest rates in deposits -- the highest back then.

I don't think most @[email protected] care about this feature, so I'm (pleasantly) surprised they added it.

#EastwestBank had this for a while now, so that's two from small(er) banks.

I went over the quoted #Twitter thread, some people lost as much as P20K 😬 And it doesn't sound like Globe has fixed the problem yet.

#EastwestBank announced that their mobile app now supports local cheque deposits.

This was favorite feature for the soon-to-be defunct #ING app, and I'm glad there's alternative to physically going to the bank.
