Our public services are the bedrock of our communities, but they need proper investment and protection from creeping privatisation. I am supporting:
✅ Replacing the unfair Council Tax with a progressive property tax
✅ Using our tax-raising powers to actively grow our public services
✅ Investing in communities now to prevent crises later
✅ Keeping public services fully in public hands, with fair pay for workers

In 1974, a small group of workers at a Rolls Royce factory in the west of Scotland refused to work on the engines of aircraft of General Pinochet, who had overthrown the democratically elected government of Chile the year before.
