His earlier work centered more overtly around repeating melodic loops that worked well as background music in a meditative context, whereas he has been covering a wider range of styles in recent years, with an increased emphasis on incorporating neoclassical and pop elements into his music. He pushes that trajectory further by expanding into ballads and trying out occasional club beats in his 2024 album, Music for the Deck of the Titanic, while maintaining his calm and soothing tones. The resulting sound shares a lot of characteristics with the work of artists like Catching Flies and Sohn.
