Volvo will discontinue the EX30 in the U.S. after 2026. Launched in 2025, the compact EV struggled after losing the $7,500 tax credit and facing new import tariffs. Sales quickly declined, making its business case unsustainable. The move reflects growing challenges in the affordable EV segment.
After an update to 1.8, my #Volvo #EX30 sometimes seems to think it has a reverse gear. Worse, it thinks it is reversing while it also thinks it is parked. When this happens, I can't bring up any menu until I hit one of two buttons with an X; after that, it properly realizes it is parked.
I can reproduce this by moving forward into a parking spot in a parking lot, bringing up the camera view, and then parking. For some reason, this doesn't cause the issue in my tiny garage.
